# What counts as a message?

We count **every unique email, SMS, or app push sent** as one message.
Events related to those messages — like opens, clicks, bounces, or deliveries — are **not** counted.

**Example:**
If your campaign sends 1,000 emails and 500 SMS messages, that totals **1,500 messages** — even if some were sent to the same person.
